Respons: My soul thirsts for God, the living God. 

Psalm 41 (42) 

As a thirsty stag

seeks living water,

so my soul seeks

you, you, my God. R 

My soul thirsts for God,

the living God;

when can I come forward,

appear before God? R 

Send your light and your truth: let

them guide my steps

and lead me to your holy mountain,

to your dwelling place. R 

I will walk up to the altar of God,

to God who is all my joy;

I will give you thanks with my harp,

God, my God! R
