Hear, nations, the word of the Lord!

Announce in the far isles:

“He who scattered Israel gathers them together,

he keeps them, like a shepherd his flock. R 

The Lord freed Jacob,

redeemed him from the hands of a stronger one.

They come shouting for joy to the heights of Zion;

they flock to the good things of the Lord. R 

The young girl is delighted, she dances;

young people, old people, all together!

I change their mourning into joy,

rejoice them, console them after the pain. "R
