FIRST READING
"Barnabas told them how Saul had seen the Lord on the way"
A Reading from the book of Acts of the Apostles (9, 26-31) ®️
In those days, when Saul arrived in Jerusalem, he sought to join the disciples, but all were afraid of him, for they did not believe that he too was a disciple. Then Barnabas took him with him and presented him to the Apostles; He told them how Saul had seen the Lord on the way, who had spoken to him, and how in Damascus he had confidently spoken in the name of Jesus. From then on Saul came and went with them in Jerusalem, speaking confidently in the name of the Lord. He spoke to the Greek-speaking Jews, and argued with them. But they sought to suppress it. Informed, the brothers accompanied him to Caesarea and sent him to Tarsus.
The Church was at peace in all Judea, Galilee and Samaria; she was building herself and she walked in the fear of the Lord; comforted by the Holy Spirit, it multiplied.
The Word of the Lord.
