Do not hold against us the sins of our ancestors:
may your tenderness come to us soon,
for we are at the end of our strength! R
Help us, God our Savior, for the glory of your name!
Deliver us, erase our faults,
for the sake of your name! R
May the captive's complaint rise up in your presence!
Your arm is strong:
spare those who must die. R
And we, your people, the flock that you lead,
endlessly we will be able to give you thanks
and from age to age proclaim your praise. R
