"The crowds gave glory to God who gave such power to men"
A Reading From The Holy Gospel According To Matthew (9, 1-8)
At that time, Jesus got into the boat, crossed again, and went to his town of Capernaum. And behold, a paralyzed man was presented to him, lying on a stretcher. Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralyzed man: “Trust, my child, your sins are forgiven. And here some of the scribes were saying to themselves: "This one is blaspheming. But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, asked, "Why do you have bad thoughts? Indeed, what is easier? Say: “Your sins are forgiven”, or say: “Get up and walk”? Well ! so that you know that the Son of man has the power, on earth, to forgive sins… - Jesus then addressed the paralyzed - get up, take your litter, and go into your house. He got up and went back to his house. Seeing this, the crowds were seized with fear,
- Let us acclaim the Word of God.
