A Reading From The Holy Gospel According To Mark (12, 18-27) 

At that time, the Sadducees - those who claim that there is no resurrection - came to find Jesus. They questioned him, “Teacher, Moses commanded us: If a man has a brother who dies leaving a wife, but no child, he must marry the widow to raise offspring to his brother. There were seven brothers; the first married, and died leaving no descendants. The second married the widow, and died leaving no descendants. The third likewise. And none of the seven left offspring. And last, after all of them, the woman also died. In the resurrection, when they are resurrected, which of them will she be the bride, since the seven had her for a bride? "Jesus said to them:" Are you not going astray, ignoring the scriptures and the power of God? When we rise from the dead, we take neither wife nor husband, but we are like the angels in heaven.
