A Reading From The Holy Gospel According To Matthew (8, 18-22)
At that time, Jesus, seeing a crowd around him, gave the order to go to the other side. A scribe approached and said to him: “Master, I will follow you wherever you go. "But Jesus said to him:" Foxes have burrows, birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man has nowhere to lay his head. Another of his disciples said to him, "Lord, let me first go and bury my father." Jesus said to him, "Follow me, and let the dead bury their dead." "
