A Reading From The Holy Gospel According To Mark (4, 35-41) 

All day long Jesus had been talking to the crowd. When evening came, Jesus said to his disciples: “Let us cross over to the other bank. Leaving the crowd, they took Jesus, as he was, in the boat, and other boats accompanied him. A violent storm arises. The waves threw themselves on the boat, so that it was already filling up. He was sleeping on the pillow in the back. The disciples wake him up and say to him, “Master, we are lost; don't you mind? Awake, he threatened the wind and said to the sea: "Silence, shut up! The wind died down, and there was a great calm. Jesus said to them, “Why are you so fearful? Don't you have faith yet? "Seized with great fear, they said to each other:" Who is he, this one, that even the wind and the sea obey him? "
