MASS READINGS, SUNDAY JUNE 20, 2021, General Week 12
SECOND READING
"A new world has already been born"
Reading from the second letter of Saint Paul the apostle to the Corinthians (5, 14-17)
Brothers, the love of Christ seizes us when we think that one has died for all, and that therefore all have passed through death. For Christ died for all, so that the living no longer have their lives centered on themselves, but on him, who died and rose for them. Now we no longer look at anyone in a simply human way: if we have known Christ in this way, now we no longer know him in this way. So if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old world is gone, a new world has already been born.
- Word of the Lord.

Alleluia. Alleluia.
A great prophet rose up among us,
and God visited his people.
