At the breath of your nostrils, the waters accumulate:

like a dike, the waves rise;

the depths are frozen in the heart of the sea. R 

The enemy said: “I pursue, I dominate,

I share the booty, I feed on it;

I draw my sword: I take the remains! »  R 

You breathe your breath: the sea covers them;

like lead, they sink into dreadful waters.

You stretch out your right hand: the earth swallows them up. R 

By your faithfulness you lead this people whom you have redeemed.

You bring them, you plant them on the mountain, your inheritance,

the place which you have made, Lord, to inhabit it,

the sanctuary, Lord, founded by your hands. R
