📖GOSPEL
"Woman, why are you crying? Who are you looking for? "
Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John (20, 1. 11-18)
Alleluia. Alleluia.
“Tell us, Marie Madeleine,
what did you see on the way?
- I saw the tomb of the living Christ,
I saw the glory of the Risen One. "
Alleluia.
On the first day of the week, Marie Madeleine goes to the tomb early in the morning; it was still darkness. She notices that the stone has been removed from the tomb. She was standing by the tomb outside, crying. And weeping, she leaned towards the tomb. She sees two angels dressed in white, sitting one at the head and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had rested. They ask her: "Woman, why are you crying? "She answers them:" My Lord has been taken away, and I do not know where they have deposited him. Having said that, she turned around; she sees Jesus standing there, but she didn't know it was Jesus. Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Who are you looking for? "Taking him for the gardener, she replies:" If it was you who took it, tell me where you left it, and me, I'll go take it. "Jesus then said to her:" Mary! "Turning around, she said to him in Hebrew:" Rabbuni! », That is to say: Master. Jesus continues: “Do not hold me back, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go find my brothers to tell them that I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God. Mary Magdalene therefore goes to announce to the disciples: "I have seen the Lord!" And she related what he had told her. “I have seen the Lord! And she related what he had told her. “I have seen the Lord! And she related what he had told her.
- Let us acclaim the Word of God.
